NICU - NEONATAL/NEWBORN INTENSIVE CARE UNITsaturday, 221207, i had my first shift/duty at st. mary's maternity hospital, where 2 years ago i had my son. i have been working in the main hospital for the past two years now but this is my first ever shift for the maternity suite. i was scared at first, but i just told myself that it would be a great experience and a change of environment as well. i'll be seeing moms and babies and not the usual ortho and elderly patients. it was a 10hour shift with a thirty minute break..hahaha, imagine thirty minute break?wtf was that?that thirty minutes only for my cigarette break..Ü
ST> MARY'S MATERNITY HOSPITAL anyways, the suite is a 16 beded ward, but it was'nt full this afternoon..i only got 7 patients and i was like playing on the ward. i think i drunk 6-8 cups of coffee from 12pm to 10pm..wwwhhhaaattt?yeah! imma coffee addict.
so, bringing back the memories because it just reminded me of the tym i gave birth two years ago..i saw my suite room where i stayed for two days..i also saw the actual room where i gave birth, the midwife who helped and assist me. i saw my son's pic in the midwifes office with all the babies pictures who was born the same day as my son..i just smiled. gosh! it's been two years now and my son has grown up so fast.
i want to stop the time.call me selfish but i dont want him to grow up..but i know im wishing for the impossible..but all i know is that even when he grows up, he'll always be my tabuchingching..
